Pastor, Salem Church, Staten Island, NYC

John Welborn

It has been revolutionary in the life of our church, as we have graduated 23 NY’ers from each of two 2-year cohorts. Our MTI graduates now serve as an elder, a deaconess, a church planter, church planting team members, small group coordinator, welcome team coordinator, MTI facilitators for other churches.

Probably my favorite part about the Church Development Library is that it allows for people from all walks of life and callings to be trained. We have some in the group that feel a call to full-time vocational ministry, some to bi-vocational ministry, and others that don’t feel led to vocational work but have a heart to serve the local church more faithfully. We are truly able to equip the saints for the work of the ministry, and all the resources and content on the Church Development Library has really revolutionized the way we develop leaders.
