Partner Development
Developing strong ministry partners is an essential part of planting a healthy, thriving church.
Importance of Partner Development
Church planting was never meant to be done alone. Developing ministry partners allows you to invite others into what God is doing through your church plant while building a strong network of support around you, your family, and your ministry team.
-
Pray: Invite partners to regularly pray for you, your family, your team, and the community God has called you to reach.
-
Participate: Give churches and individuals opportunities to join you in the work, using their time, gifts, and resources to help advance the mission.
-
Provide: Develop financial partners who can help provide the support you, your family, and your team need to stay healthy and thrive as you plant.
Developing Ministry Partners
NAMB’s Mission Service Corps (MSC) program helps endorsed missionaries build strong partnerships that support sustainable ministry. MSC helps you approach partner development intentionally, from connecting with potential partners and raising financial support to maintaining those relationships over time.
-
Training: Learn how to develop ministry partners through online training and practical resources.
-
Giving and donor management: Receive access to a proven giving and donor management system that makes it easy for partners to give and helps you manage financial partnerships.
-
Ongoing coaching: Get continued support as you develop and maintain relationships with ministry partners so you can serve faithfully in ministry.

Your Missionary Context Matters
Every church planter brings a unique story, relationships, and ministry context to partner development. Your approach will be shaped by all of these things, but you can take intentional steps to identify people who care about the mission and invite them to join what God is doing.

Wherever you are in the church planting process, there are resources to help you move forward.
